The Company works with the Client’s representatives, with early involvement, identifying practical and logistical problems -and solutions – before work starts. The Constructor’s input at the early stage, using value engineering, leads to a more practical and efficient building process, lowering costs. Lessons learned on each project are incorporated in each subsequent project, bring ongoing improvements.

The Company has supply chain partners that it engages in the same way to obtain early wins during the planning of work. The supply chain partners are also able to hone prices by regular evaluation of products and systems

Lead in times for projects are reduced, with earlier start times on site. Early identification of supply bottle-necks means those items can be forward ordered so delays do not occur, bringing on-site work time reductions.

Gill Building’s involvement with the end user leads to better relations during the works and better final results. This has been particularly useful when working with schools, with their particular timing requirements and the restrictions of organising work around young children.
